After writing about 10 countries that have invented the most things in all human history, here we are again talking about the who has the most inventions in the world. Thanks to the most innovative countries, we are able to enjoy so many things that we take for granted nowadays. What are you reading this on? A laptop computer? Well, someone had to think of a way to reduce the personal computers to this handy size. Did you brush your teeth this morning using your special toothbrush? That also used to be a novelty. Or how about the toilet? Isn’t that the greatest invention of all times?
Truth be told, we are so used to enjoying the inventions it’s hard to think that once they were nothing more than simple patents. A light bulb was once only a dream. So, how did we come up with the answer to which is the country with most inventions per capita? Firstly, we searched for statistics at Statista and CPH Post Online to find the country with most inventors and inventions. In order to do that, we needed population figures, and we found them at Worldometers. Dividing the number of citizens by the number of inventions is pretty easy. However, our second source only gave us data about the average number of inventions per one million, so we had to do some basic calculations to find how many inventions the country actually has. Once that was settled, we ranked them from the highest to the lowest number of people per one invention.
