We were not surprised to see some of the countries listed in the top 10, but a few of them rather surprised us. I was wondering what is the country with most breast augmentation procedures in the world, and ISAPS has the answer again. According to their annual study conducted for the year 2017, the USA is the top country when it comes to breast augmentation procedures. Other countries that made it in the top 5 were Brazil, Russia, Mexico, and Germany.

According to the report from ISAPS, Americans spent quite a lot of money on plastic surgery. In some cities, people are more likely to undergo a cosmetic procedure than in others, and we wanted to know just which ones. Breast augmentation seems to be the most popular procedure in America as well as in the rest of the world too. In fact, according to ISAPS, silicone implants rose in popularity by 11% during 2017. Since we attempted to come up with a list of top US cities with most breast implants, our task was not quite simple. Considering the fact that the United States occupies the first place when it comes to the top 5 countries with most breast augmentation procedures performed in 2017, you’d think that such data is easy to find. But not at all.

 There is no precise data available regarding what type of procedure is the most popular in which city, so we had to rely on other methods. RealSelf has valuable data on the top cities with the highest number of women interested in breast implants so we definitely couldn’t neglect that study. We combined that report with another study RealSelf conducted on top US cities that are most interested in plastic surgery in general, and we included them in the list. With America being at the top of the list when it comes to breast implants, it seemed like a logical choice to include these cities on our list.

When it comes to US cities with most plastic surgeries, Miami is really close to the top of the list, but according to the data, San Antonio may actually be the plastic surgery capital of the US. What’s interesting is that both Miami and San Francisco were named one of the vainest cities in America. On the other hand, places that are least interested in plastic surgery were Columbia, Westchester, Baltimore, Boston, and Washington DC.

10. Miami, FL

Miami can hardly be avoided when talking about plastic surgery capitals in the U.S., as this city is known to have a high number of procedures per year. In fact, Miami has the most plastic surgeons per 100,000 residents (3.90).

9. San Francisco, CA

San Francisco ranks 9th on our list of top 10 cities with most breast implants in US. It has a high number of plastic surgeons per capita – 2.74 per 100,000 residents. This probably explains why its residents are so interested in plastic surgery.

8. San Diego, CA

Another city with a high interested in plastic surgery and therefore, breast augmentation as well, is San Diego. In fact, residents of San Diego are more interested in having something done on them than people in Miami or San Francisco.

7. Austin, TX

Not only is Austin one of the cities that are most interested in plastic surgery, but it is also one of the places with a great number of plastic surgeons per capita. There are 2.78 plastic surgeons per 100,000 residents, which is slightly more than in San Francisco.

6. San Antonio, TX

A study conducted a few years ago by RealSelf reveals that San Antonio may be the capital of plastic surgery when it comes to the United States. It ranked first on the list among metropolitan area with the highest interest in plastic surgery.

5. Mobile, AL

Another city known for its high interest in breast augmentation procedures is Mobile. According to the data, Mobile ranked fifth on the list of top 10 cities with most breast implants in US.

4. Oklahoma City, OK

The results of the study show that residents of Oklahoma City are significantly more interested in having their breast augmented than those in Mobile.

3. Honolulu, HI

As it turns out, Honolulu is one of the top cities interested in breast augmentation according to the data. Just slightly below Oklahoma City, Honolulu ranks third on the list of top US cities with most breast implants.

2. Fresno, CA

Fresno is ranked second when it comes to top cities in America that are most interested in breast implants. The results of the study conducted by RealSelf show that there is not a significant difference between the first two places on the list.

1. Salt Lake City, UT

According to the data, Salt Lake City leads when it comes to breast implants popularity and naturally, we ranked it at the very top of top 10 cities with most breast implants in US. Salt Lake City has quite a number of plastic surgeons as well. With 3.12 plastic surgeons per 100,000 people, it’s clear why the residents are so interested in plastic surgery and breast augmentation to be more precise. Plastic surgeons seem to think that another main reason for the interest in breast implants is that there are more pregnancies in Utah than anywhere else with many young moms wanting to look their best after giving birth.
