6. University of Pennsylvania

Acceptance rate in 2023: 8.1%

Acceptance rate in 2024: 7.4%

The University of Pennsylvania was established in 1740, and has four undergrad and twelve graduate and professional schools as well. Last year, the university had an endowment of over $14 billion, which is more than the GDP of some smaller nations. It is quite famous for its finance programs and feeder programs which enable students to obtain jobs in Wall Street, a natural progression from an Ivy League school if there was ever one. Three US Supreme Court Justices, 46 U.S. governors, 32 U.S. Senators, eight of the signatories of the US declaration of Independence, 12 of the U.S. constitution signers, and two presidents of the United States are among the alumni of University of Pennsylvania. Unfortunately for the university, as I mentioned earlier, this includes Donald Trump as well, lessening the sheen of the university and those associated with it.
