Mosques pop up, historical buildings dot the way, and the maze-like alley ways will be a pleasure to get lost down.

Let’s heat things up a bit. How about visiting a mystic “burning spring.” The hot water you will find here spew out fire and water together and the water is supposed to have healing properties. It’s a great stop over from Lankaran or Astara.

 

4. Gizil Agach State National Reserve

If you’re ready for some real nature, head to this park located on Gizil Agach Bay. The wildlife here is teeming and consists of foxes, badgers, hundreds of birdlife species and wild cats; the marine creatures are even more abundant.

3. Palace of Shirvanshahs

Get a glimpse at some medieval living through this historical monument. Marvelously adorned with intricate cuts, dramatic openings and constructed of stone, this complex is beautiful. A mosque, museum, and an ancient bathhouse are located here as well.
