One of the most revered locations on earth is located right here, but that’s only one of the best places to visit in Israel before you die. Boasting a lot for the small size, Israel is a holiday location to really consider a bit more. Is it safe here, though?

Overall, it’s safe to visit Israel. However there are areas of concern, so be sure to do proper research and don’t wander into the unknown. If you’re going to go to any holocaust museum in the world, this just might be the one. This is the largest in the world, and certainly the most humbling and special. It’s a must see when visiting the country to really get a dose of the history, as tragic as it was.

7. Galilee

This is where the ancient story of Jesus walking on water comes from. A few remarkable ancient structures are located here like the old cities of Safed and Tiberias. The nearby Jordan River is also another must see. The history and incredible landscapes will captivate you.

6. Eilat

Here’s a resort beach getaway for you at the most southern tip of the country. Get in the water and swim with dolphin, dive to the depths of the  Red Sea,  snorkel, or play on the sand and soak up the sun. There’s some happening nightlife around this area too, so you can party the night away.

5. The Negev

The Negev is the country’s vast desert. There is an array of wildlife and incredible sports like abseiling, or just stand at the edge of a crater and watch the action. The Ramon Crater is an attraction for the above mentioned but also for those who want to view it all day and night. The unique accommodation placed here even offers rooms and pools at the edge.

4. Masada

Watching the sunrise here is the ultimate way to experience this magnificent spot. The ancient fortress located at the top of this mountain is known for a mass suicide as the inhabitants would have rather killed themselves than be taken over the by the Romans who invaded their home. Climb to the top or take the cable car, the views are simply breathtaking.

3. The Dead Sea

The lowest point and saltiest place on earth is The Dead Sea. It’s 1,360 below sea level and its visitors come in by the bus loads to experience this unique natural attraction. Everyday you find people floating without a single ounce of effort in these buoyant waters. You have to try it out for yourself. Just don’t get the water on your face.

2. Tel Aviv

The cultural and commercial hub of the tiny country, is beautiful Tel Aviv. Located on the Mediterranean you bet the beaches are literally the hottest thing to do here, but it offers up a vibrant nightlife as well, some of the best in the world. This is the most happening city and is a place to take your time at. The nearby Jaffa is a testament to biblical times and offers its own set of attractions.

This is the capital of the country and what a truly stunning capital it is. This is one of the most sacred locations being a mecca to three religions. The Western Wall, The Dome of the Rock and Church of the Holy Sepulchre are the main historical sites of interest, however it offers more to its visitors. Wander through the streets, taste the culinary delights, see more of the hidden history, and  enjoy the architectural beauty and charm.
