There are many controversies surrounding these Disney Princesses, starting with the unrealistic body images some feel they push on young girls, continuing with the fact that they always seem to have a need for someone else to fix their problems instead of doing it for themselves. After all, Cinderella could have easily gone out and worked on cleaning other people’s houses rather than slaving around for her step mother and sisters for free.
On the other hand, they continue to be extremely popular among children of all ages and adults alike. The merchandise business Disney has going on is the size of one of the castles these ladies reside in, making millions upon millions of dollars from dolls, movies, posters, costumes and so on. We’re not even going to mention how much money the parks are bringing in Walt Disney since that’s off the roof.

A while back, Yahoo finance ran an article on how much is every princess actually worth financially, based on their income. The Squander had a different approach and made an estimate of princesses’ wealth based on the approximation of their inheritance as well. We combine both lists to create the accurate ranking of 6 richest Disney princesses of them all.
6. Rapunzel
Fortune: $20 million
It’s not as much as what her royal parents left Rapunzel that makes her rich, but her hair. An estimated 70 some odd feet of hair could be made into a lot of extensions, worth over $13,000. Plus, with that kind of hair she’d certainly get an endorsement from the likes of L’Oreal, with a big contract of an estimated $20 million. She’d also be a bit of a spender, her main focus being art supplies, but also those expensive monthly haircuts.
Rapunzel is the tenth Disney Princess and made her first appearance in 2010’s Tangled. She is born with beautiful, long hair that also happens to be magical. She is kidnaped from her parents by Mother Gothel, a vain old witch that wants to stay young by using the hair’s magic. Rapunzel is kept isolated in a tall tower for 18 years until she leaves on an adventure with a thief named Flynn Rider, aka Eugene.
Since Eugene is a mere thief and certainly no royalty, he doesn’t bring in a lot of cash to the marriage, but that’s unimportant for Rapunzel or their happiness.

According to estimates, Cinderella doesn’t have a lot of money in the bank. It’s only about $40,000 that she’d make from a yearly salary as a maid, which is how she spent her time serving her stepmother and sisters, plus those cool slippers and ball gown she got from the fairy godmother for free.
While she may not get to have a lot of money on her own, the prince she ends up marrying is quite healthy, as you’d expect from royalty. Aries is the fourth Disney Princess and was featured in “The Little Mermaid,” which was released in 1989. She is the youngest daughter of King Triton and lives in the undersea kingdom of Atlantica. She wants to see what’s on the other side of the shore so she trades her voice for a pair of legs to use to walk among humans.

The Sleeping Beauty protagonist is already a real princess to start things off, so she has a pretty inheritance. Estimates put it at over $167,000 at the time of her falling asleep under the witch’s curse. Since she slept for a full century, a 3 percent interest would bring her over $3 million in fortune. It seems unlikely that she’d end up spending a lot of money since she grew up in a frugal household.

It’s rather difficult to read the fortune in Jasmine’s accounts since there are so many numbers in there. But then again, she is the daughter of the Sultan of Agrabah, who is bound to leave her a hefty inheritance. $25 billion in total makes her one of the richest “women” in the world. She grew up with the best of the best, so her tastes can be quite expensive too. Taking care of her tiger costs a few thousand every year, but that won’t exactly make a dent in her accounts.

She falls in love with Aladdin, who is disguised as a prince at first. One ride on his magic carpet later and she is head over heels for him. Once the whole plot unfolds, she is permitted by her father to wed Aladdin who is actually a pretty poor fellow, living on the streets. Love wins in the end, and we’re ok with that.
While she certainly doesn’t have to work a day in her life, Jasmine is a nice character. She received mixed reviews from critics. On one hand, they love her personality, especially that she is so strong-willed and free, while on the other hand there are those who believe her role in the movie was bland and fell flat.
