Life doesn’t have to be all work and no play, and that’s especially true if you’re employed in one of the 16 most fun jobs in America.

Some people don’t love the work they do, which I think would become quite tiresome after a certain point. Unfortunately, not everyone can do work they love and I don’t necessarily believe that everyone loves their jobs or has a great time doing work. Usually, the socialization that occurs in the workplace is the fun part for me. I digress — it’s a lucky thing to love your job and have fun doing it. I feel like clowns are always having a good time, and even though it wouldn’t be fun for me, they always look so happy and pure and like they’re genuinely loving life.

There are so many different types of jobs in the world and I suppose you could make anything fun if you try hard and believe in yourself. Of course, not everything is going to magically and easily become super fun. Like filing sounds boring and I don’t see how that would be cool in any way, shape, or form. No shade to anyone who files things for a living. In my humble opinion, the most fun jobs would be those that promote creativity and allow for a lot of flexibility. I’m sure many would agree with me, as some people absolutely love math or find chemical experiments to be way more fun than Adobe Photoshop, but I’m not very left-brained and can’t relate. I wonder if any of the jobs on this list coincide with the 12 Well-Paying Part-Time Jobs for Moms, as those certainly must be fun as well.

In order to create this list of the most fun jobs in America, we consulted a variety of opinions to see if they overlap, since there’s nothing necessarily quantitative about this type of list. We consulted a few sources, namely Trade Schools, Create a Career, U.S. News, and Hello Giggles. We picked the jobs that were mentioned at least twice using those four sources. There’s no specific ranking past that point aside from what potentially would be your personal opinion, but the ones mentioned the most are at the top of the list.

These are the people behind your favorite video games, like the great folks at Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) and Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ:EA). It’s a dream job for any creative person who loves gaming. The best part is the salary averages out to about $83,410 annually.

My dad would love this job, which means for me it’s a hard no, but if you’re into cars and fixing parts then this could be one to consider. You get to experience the adrenaline rush of going to races and traveling the country. You could make between $45,000 and $65,000 a year.

Graphic designers work in advertising, public relations, marketing, and communications departments, so it’s quite a vast career option for anyone who’s artistically-inclined. If you like computers and visualizing design concepts, this is the job for you, and one at which you could make on average $51,640 a year.

Every time I watch Law & Order I feel like I want to be a forensic scientist. Basically you get to be the first person on the crime scene to collect evidence and examine it in the lab. You’ll play a critical role in solving crimes and you could make about $60,090 a year.

This isn’t fun to me at all because I tried it, but my friend is a developer and loves it, so this is all about personal preference. If you’re into solving problems and fixing bugs, then this is for you. You can be pretty creative with how you work and it’s kind of cool to be able to make a web page or function all by yourself. Now, this is what I call one of the most fun jobs in America. Most people get in trouble if they’re caught checking Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) at work, but this is an instance where people are paid to update social media accounts. It requires a bit of knowledge of analytics and marketing strategies, but it’s fun to get to tweet and post on Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and Instagram all day. You could make about $50,000 a year.

3. Marketing manager

As long as you have strong organizational and communication skills, this is a great option. Marketing managers can make about $140,660 a year and focus on branding and public relations. Marketing managers make sure that word gets out about companies and/or initiatives.

2. Interior designer

As long as Ikea isn’t a hellscape to you, you will probably love interior design. You get to work with clients and try to bring their aesthetic vision to life in whatever space they need your help figuring out. You get to spend other people’s money buying beautiful furniture and decor to bring your best and most creative ideas to life. You can earn on average about $55,510 a year.

Event planners have by far the most fun job. There’s no way it could be boring to plan parties, unless you get sad that you may not be invited to them. You can organize a ton of different events, from small parties to large galas. Sometimes you might even get to travel! You can earn on average $51,200 a year.
