10 Easiest Gin Drinks for Summer

If you’re one of the few people who enjoys drinking gin, you’ll enjoy this list of 10 easiest gin drinks for summer.

I’m one of the rare people whose go-to drink involves gin. I don’t know many others like me, but I really enjoy drinking a simple gin and tonic, and I’m picky about my choice of gin. If it’s not good gin, it’s not a good gin and tonic. From what I gather at bar conversations with friends, most people either love gin or they hate gin. Personally, I think it’s just a refreshing drink, even though tonic water has way more sugar than I would normally prefer. However, as summer is approaching and warm weather draws everyone out to happy hours on rooftop bars, or by the poolside, we all want a nice, refreshing drink after a long day’s work.

Whether you like the taste or not, we’ve all definitely heard about gin and maybe even tasted it in a random cocktail. As we prepare for the summer, we decided to come up with our own list of some fun gin drinks you might enjoy. In doing so, we also found some interesting facts about the alcohol. It is generally thought to be an English drink, but it actually originates from Holland. The predominant flavor of gin comes from juniper berries and it has had a long-standing tradition since the Middle Ages. In the Eighty Years’ War when English soldiers supported the Dutch against Spain, the English soldiers drank Gin as it calmed their nerves before the battle. I can definitely believe this when I think about the effects of gin.

If you want something not as potent as what those English soldiers were drinking, you can read our article about 11 easiest alcoholic drinks to digest.
