Wallapop has the lowest user rating as well as the lowest number of downloads. The app claims you can sell everything, but there’s quite a long list of items you can’t sell, which is likely the reason why it doesn’t have as many active users as the others. According to user reviews, the app could use more buyer security and the customer service is poor. If those things improve or don’t deter you, this app has a great intuitive search feature. The geo-based location filters show users close to you and the app is quite easy to understand and use, which means you can start listing or buying right away. There’s an in-app messaging feature as well. The developers update regularly, so you’re not likely to encounter any devastating bugs.

 

3. Craigslist

Craigslist is the original buy, sell, trade platform, so there’s no surprise it has the highest number users. That being said, the user ratings don’t come out on top. You can, however, sell literally anything you want. You could sell a single dirty shoe and Craigslist doesn’t care. This extends to other miscellaneous classified ads, like job postings and services. Because this site has been around for so long, it has a level of credibility and a large user base. Unfortunately, there’s no dedicated app, so you have to do all the work from a browser. There’s also no security or profile system to check if people are real, so anyone can make an account and list items or try to buy from you without having an account. Customer service is a little slow answering complaints as well. Despite these things, Craigslist is still the most popular among users.

While Offerup doesn’t have the most users comparatively speaking, you can list anything you want here, which contributes to the high user ratings. With this app you can easily put your item up for sale in less than 30 seconds. Users create profiles so you can see the person you’re interacting with before you want to buy or sell an item. The in-app messaging feature makes it easy to interact with buyers and sellers securely. Your unique seller profile helps build a reputation, which means other profiles are also safe and reputable. The downfall with this app, as with the rest, is the danger of encountering scammers. These are easy to avoid if you know what to look for. As always, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

You may have seen Letgo in commercials lately, and it’s no surprise it has such high user ratings considering this. On this app you can sell electronics, games, clothes, cars, furniture, and more. It’s easy to make money because of the app design, which is very visual and even allows you to make movie trailer-type videos for your listings. In addition to this, there’s an in-app messaging system where you can talk to the people you’re dealing with like text messages and view their profiles to make sure they’re real. In order to make a profile you have to have your account verified by either Google or Facebook, so it’s a little bit safer than others. There are, however, still scammers who make their way through, but it’s slightly less common. Letgo has a review system where people can write about you as a seller, but there’s no way for you to refute it. This makes a reasonable amount of sense, though, so I don’t personally fault the app for this. Some reviewers claim the app is difficult to use, and sure it could use a bit of an update, but overall it works wonderfully for selling items quickly and easily.
