Top 25 Paid Android Apps in 2017

If you want to get the most out of your smartphone, then you need to install some of the apps from our list of top 25 paid Android apps in 2017.

As you can see, we have a pretty big list to share with you today, because we wanted to include as many awesome apps as possible. We will not boast and say that this is the list of best paid android apps all time because we don’t know about the future, and what it has in store for us, but we will certainly say that this list includes some of the most amazing apps on the market right now. However, if you are looking for most expensive Android apps on the market, then this is certainly not the list for you, as we made sure apps like Abu Moo Collection did not make it into the list. That app’s a joke in our opinion, anyway.

Since you are interested in this article, I think it is safe to assume that you are a Google enthusiast, and if you are true Google enthusiast, then you likely have a Chromebook to go with your Android smartphone. If that is the case, then we highly recommend that you take the time to go through the 10 Best Android Apps to Install on Chromebook and the 5 Best Chromebook Apps for Writing and Editing. But, getting back on the topic, this list does not contain any games. Although technically speaking, games are also apps, but they offer no utility thus top paid android games like Modern Combat 5, or Nova 3 are not included in the list. So, in essence, this list consists of some of the best apps for android 2017 in the paid category. A list of best free apps for android phones is in the pipeline, so if you are looking for that, you have to wait a little bit longer. However, apps like LastPass and Strava will be on that list is for certain.

If you have been with us for some time, you know how we do things at Insider Monkey. For the research part of this article, we sought help from various websites like Android Authority, Google Play Store, and Google. After we had the preliminary list of apps that we wanted to include on the list, we came up with a technique for ranking them. Of course, we could rank these apps based on the price, however, that would not have given us a clear picture about the said app’s usefulness. So we decided to go with the Google play store’s user ratings and the number of total user reviews.

So, basically we ranked the apps with a better user rating, higher, and if two apps had similar user ratings, then the app with more user reviews of the two was ranked higher in the list. As with any statistical tool, the larger the sample size, the more accurate a value is. If you are thinking about squeezing every bit of performance out of our smartphone, then this list will allow you to do that. Of course, it is highly unlikely that you will download and install every app mentioned in the list, as you will not have a use for all of them, which is why we covered 25 apps and not just 5 or 10 so that our list remains relevant for a large number of Android users.

Without further ado, let’s jump right into the list of top 25 paid Android apps in 2017.
