5. Taj Mahal

Literally the most iconic landmark of the country, it would be a huge sin to miss this spot while visiting India. Built in the 1600s, this incredible man-made masterpiece is breathtaking and humbling to be in the presences of. The marble mausoleum and several of its other buildings are extensively adorned and surrounded with beautiful gardens. It’s one of the most visited sites in India.

 

4. Kanha National Park

If I told you this place was the inspiration for the “Jungle Book,” yes, as in the famous novel, would you need anymore information or a reason to come here? Probably not, but just in case, this lush jungle holds some spectacular flora and fauna to explore including bamboo forests and the elusive tiger.

 

3. Palolem

Are you in need of a beachy getaway? Here is one of Goa’s best beaches to bask on, Palolem. It’s a beautiful bay with its natural water splashing on the sandy banks. This spot is super mellow and chilled out, so you can expect tons of laying around and just hanging out. Cheap eats, a small dose of nightlife, and other like minded individuals can be expected here.

 

2. Delhi

I know what you’re thinking- “No way! It’s way too big and chaotic!” Ok so maybe this city isn’t for everyone, but it’s an experience to say the least. The hectic streets might turn you off, but let it be your entertainment and part of the experience rather than a nuisance. There are plenty of excellent sites including numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, so don’t write this city off just yet.
