America’s history is one of rich diversity and immigration. The diversity of America is usually an important symbol of pride amongst residents, and also an attractive fact for visitors and newcomers to this country.

In honoring this diversity, it is good to acknowledge the cities that are contributing a lot of diversity to the country. It is also good to know that America is listed in the most ethnically diverse countries in the world. The rating of these diverse cities was achieved by evaluating how close the population was to achieving equal resident distribution across the 4 common ethnic groups; Hispanic, White, Black and Asian. Immigrants from Asia, Latin America and other parts of the world are gradually expanding the number of minorities beyond the current number of African Americans.

Besides how evenly the population of a town was covered by the different ethnic groups, a completely diverse town must have a population with precisely 20% from each racial category. The community features that researchers linked to diversity were higher rates of rental occupancy, since a community requires a large supply of housing to put up newcomers; a wide collection of job options, which include part time and entry-level opportunities and large foreign-born populations.
