6. Blanda

Blanda is one of the longest rivers in Iceland, almost 125 kilometers in length! It flows from its source in a glacier across the country, in a northwards direction, through beautiful countryside and glacial vistas. It is a prime location for fishing salmon, and the hydroelectric dam generates a lot of Iceland’s power. The banks are the perfect place for admiring the views of the Icelandic countryside.

 

5. Gullfoss

Gullfoss, meaning ‘golden falls’, is a huge and impressive waterfall located in south-west Iceland.
