If you are tall and fast, much faster in a short burst than a quarterback–then you could perhaps get a scholarship playing as a receiver. Also, if you are lacking a little bit in height, then you will have to look for programs that will cut down on height for good 4.4 or faster speeds. Therefore this position offers you some more options for a scholarship. If you are fast enough on the field, have the ability to get open from defense and make catches, even if you are not that tall, you can walk away with a full scholarship playing as a receiver. But, as I mentioned, you need to look for a program that will prefer speed over height. This can be a bit tricky, but you will eventually come across one, if you keep looking.
