10 Jobs That Pay More Than Minimum Wage for Teenagers

If you are a teenager who is eager to work and earn money without being paid poorly, pay attention to our article about 10 jobs that pay more than minimum wage for teenagers.

I started working when I was just 16 years old. I remember my first job being in my older sister’s shop. She was more than willing to hire me and give me the opportunity to earn my own money. Honestly, that was not typical for most of my friends at the time. They usually depended on their parents’ money, and that made me even more proud of myself since I could afford many things. I could save a lot of money and then spend it on excursions, field trips, books, clothes, and any other things that were necessary. Of course, my parents did not stop supporting me financially, but I made the thing much easier for them. I was lucky to have my sister as a business owner, but to be honest, getting the first job as a teenager is not easy. You lack experience and employers are immediately full of doubts whether you will work properly, hardly and whether you will fulfill your obligations on time. We also dealt with that issue, so we provided the article on 10 Easiest First-Time Jobs to Get for Teenagers.

Generally speaking, it is not hard to think about numerous jobs that teenagers may do, together with attending their classes. On the other side, people who employ teens usually follow the logic that they do not need to pay them much, being the reason why sometimes teenagers work full time without getting paid properly. In that manner, it is not strange that most of them simply decide not to work in order to avoid being exploited. I tried to find some jobs that pay above average and more than minimum wage, and I managed. In order to make the list for these jobs, the websites such as Hire Teen and The Balance were of a huge help. I also included some online jobs, since they are becoming more and more popular nowadays. It was important to make the difference between those jobs that can be done by a 12-year-old and those jobs that a person being 18 may do since they usually differ a lot.

The final classification was made according to the hourly wage, and that’s how I ended up making a list of 10 jobs that pay more than minimum wage for teenagers.
