John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States who served from 1961 to 1963 when he was assassinated. He served during the Cold War and his short presidency mainly concentrated on managing relations with the Soviet Union. He was a war hero in World War II and a member of the Democratic Party.
