Situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India, this reservoir lake that ranks 14th in our list of largest artificial lakes in Asia was built in 1975 along with a huge dam. Located on the Beas River, this lake is famous for the bio-diversity it managed to retain and particularly the numerous species of bird which come this way. If you’re a bird-watcher, this is the place to go. You may even spot, if you’re lucky, some of the endangered species which sometimes rest over there.
