Unfortunately, people are not aware of how serious eating disorders can be. Eating Disorder Campaign is all about “fighting the myths and misunderstanding that surround anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and EDNOS.” BEAT (Beating eating disorders) campaigns find it important to have your voice heard. We live in a society that tells us how to look and what size is acceptable which puts more pressure on teens to look “perfect”. Because of the media pressure to look skinny we face eating disorder more frequently. Early intervention is always encouraged so if you would like to learn more about the symptoms and early signs make sure to read The Costs of Eating Disorder. You never know who is struggling until you see the signs, so be the one who’ll spot the early signs of eating disorder is save someone’s life.
