11 Most Expensive Hotels In New York City

New York is a popular tourist destination today for many, including the people who could afford the 11 most expensive hotels in New York City. The same people who would probably go on vacation almost exclusively in the top 15 most expensive countries in the world. But is it worth staying in these places, considering that a room for a night might cost some their monthly pay? I guess nobody can find out exactly without trying it.

Located on one of the world’s largest natural harbors, New York itself is a city with a long history of being a hub for newly arriving immigrants and tourists. Aside from being one of the most popular cities in the whole world, it is also one of the most populous. For the US, it is the city with the biggest population and also one the cities with the biggest metropolitan areas. At the time when the first settlement was established on modern New York City’s grounds, luxury hotels were still unheard of. All that the world had to offer as lodging then were inns which catered to about anyone who could afford it and offered acceptable lodging conditions at best. What we could call a luxurious hotel, made to provide people of higher class with a place to stay for the night, was first established in the United Kingdom around 1768. In the nineteenth century, hotels saw a great development in variety, locations, types of accommodation and much more. New York City itself was a part of this new diversity of new types of lodging which catered to different social classes and offered various services. You can say that the tradition of luxury hotels there is strong and there are some hotels in the city which have been around for a very long time.

Ranging from attractions for wealthier tourists to places where you can get your own unimaginably luxurious suite which comes with an endless supply of chocolate and a private chauffeur and a plane tour, New York City has a lot to offer. Although there are some inhumanly expensive suites around the city,  for this list we will rank the hotels by price for a normal room per night. Let’s take a look at eleven places we all wish we could stay, even if it was for just one night.
