10. Switzerland

A square shaped emblem with Red and white equilateral cross became the national flag of Switzerland in 1840 and it holds significance in regards to its history when after the demise of Napoleon and French July revolution of 1830, the liberal forces and politicians regained strength and demanded centralized institutions. This flag made it to number 10, because of its straight cuts of cross of white in a square pool of red showing the solidarity of Swiss troops who fought in the World War I.
