The need and the urge for sex are inborn in every person in this world and because of it, we decided to create a list of the most sexually active countries in Africa.

Have you ever wondered why in some countries people have more sex compared to other? Even though we are living in the 21st century, there are still countries where sex is considered to be a sin if it is outside of marital bed. This is influencing people not to have sex until they get married and remain virgins until their 20s or even 30s. Despite this, the weather has a huge impact on your mood as well. During extreme temperatures, people are avoiding sex, especially when it is extremely hot. If this is the case with you, you should know that you cannot just make up for the lost day of sex when the temperature cools down, so we recommend you to set the mood with some A/C.

Unprotected sex is causing so many deaths not only in Africa but in the whole world. Africa is the most famous continent for HIV/AIDS and many other STDs. 15.2% of the total global population is living in Africa, 35 million people are already affected with STD, and unfortunately, 15 million people already died due to sexually transmitted disease.

If you are interested to see what are the most active countries on the global scale, we recommend you to check our list of the Most Sexually Active Countries in the World. Who knows, maybe you will find one of the following countries among them, or you are living and contributing to one country to be among them.

While creating our list of most sexually active countries in Africa, as our parameters we took the percentage of people in Africa that used a condom in the last 12 months and the birth rate in every country; the number of births/1,000 people and we created two lists one based on condom use and one of the birth rate. After we filled our lists with data, we calculated our IM (Insider Monkey) score by taking the position of the country in the two lists, summed up their position number and divided it with two. After we finished compiling our list of most sexually active countries in Africa, we sort it in ascending order. We couldn’t find other more accurate statistics even though the condom use doesn’t necessarily mean that a specific country is more sexually active. Instead, it is showing us that this country is more aware of STDs and that people there are protecting their health. When it comes to birth rate, it can only show us that this country is more fertile, but, the combination of the condom use and the birth rate is more than enough to create our list, because even though the majority is using a condom, they are still among the countries that have the most children, so the chances they have more sexual intercourse are pretty high.
