Adage Capital’s Phill Gross and Eminence Capital’s Ricky Sandler talk about the COVID-19 pandemic in the following video. I agree with everything Gross said in his presentation. Sandler sounds more bullish. In one part of the video, he reveals his hunch/hope about COVID-19’s low fatality rate. He thinks it is possible that COVID-19’s infection fatality rate is somewhere in the 0.2-0,4% range. He doesn’t explicitly mention these numbers but the tone of his presentation can’t be interpreted any other way.
Sandler also thinks that there won’t be a second wave of the coronavirus infections. He says don’t bet against the resiliency of the U.S. consumers as they have short memories and are gonna come back. He also says that he received information that a combination of chloroquine and a Z-Pak reduces case severity by 50% or more. Overall, Sandler expects to see the S&P 500 Index near the 3000 level by August.
