6. Panch Pokhari

Highly regarded and thought to have a certain holiness, is Panch Pokhari. Be prepared for an adventurous journey here. A twelve day, yes, twelve day trek is necessary before reaching this incredible location. But you will be greeted by scenic lakes (Panch Pokhari means “five lakes”), an indescribable vista of the Himalayas, and biological diversity like you haven’t seen before.

5. Gosaikunda Lake

Another religious site that has been said to be home to some of Hindu mythologies is situated at an altitude of over 4,000 meters. This spiritual inducing lake is in the Langtang National Park and it’s as spiritual as it is adventurous. Trekking is the sport here and it will show you around this majestic mountain terrain.

4. Upper Mustang

You might be wondering why a rather desolate landscape would make it on this list, but let’s take a closer look at the Upper Mustang trek. This is Buddhist kingdom and is an entity of the Tibetan empire considering its proximity to Tibet. There are colorful villages and fields for tourist to check out for an intriguing cultural experience. So it’s really not so desolate at all!

This landscape features some of the best views offered in Nepal. With all the species that live here and call this place home, you bet there are some great chances of seeing some cool birds and animals running around. One of the highest lakes in the world, located at nearly 5,000 meters is this patch of blue liquid surrounded by snowy mountain tops.
