LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology has been present for a long time now. The display contains liquid crystals which are light up with a single source of the backlight. IPS LCD is a better version of LCD with a faster response time. The advantages of IPS LCD are more natural colors, better performance under direct sunlight and cheaper cost of production. The disadvantages are that the dark colors seem gray, lack of contrast and lower quality of pictures. AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) on the other hand uses the organic material on TFT (thin film transistor). This way, each pixel can be individually illuminated. The advantages of AMOLED technology are that it allows producing thinner displays, has no restrictions when it comes to display size, black colors are darker and consumes less power in theory. The disadvantages include poor performance under the sunlight and shorter lifetime. In order to create our list of best smartphones with AMOLED display, we headed over to GSM Arena and looked for smartphones that had the highest screen resolutions, 500+ PPI (pixels per inch) pixel density, packed Octa-core processors and had 4GB+ RAM and 32BG+ of storage. Our search resulted in finding more than 20 smartphones. After discarding those that are still to be released or not available anywhere but China and the variations of the same model, we ended up with 6 best. 6. Meizu Pro 6 Plus
Display Size: 5.7 inches
Display Resolution: 1440 x 2560 pixels (~515 PPI pixel density)

4. Huawei Mate 9 Pro

Personally, taking all things into consideration, I think Galaxy S7 could well be the best smartphone ever made. Compared to the latest releases, 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM seem low at first, but ask yourself, do you really need more? If the answer is yes, you can always get 6.2 inches Galaxy S8+ that has 128GB of storage and 6GB or RAM.
