Get your credit cards ready (and maybe a defibrillator if high price tags put you into cardiac arrest) because I’ve created a list of the 25 most expensive shoes in the world and it has a lot of zeros.

Years of Sex and the City binge-watching has told me that people will go to extreme lengths to have the expensive shoes they want. Carrie Bradshaw was consistently broke, but damn if she didn’t have the newest pair of Manolo’s every single season, because what would she be like without her power heels? I hate shoe shopping. I really do. There’s something nice about it to some degree because you can justify spending a lot on shoes considering they go with every outfit. Like you can’t justify $200 on a shirt because you wear it once and then you can’t wear it again until you’ve done laundry (or if you don’t want to do laundry because you’re me and you’re lazy, about two weeks later when it seems acceptable again). However, $200 on shoes makes slightly more sense because they theoretically will go with every outfit. I digress, buying shoes is irritating for me because my size is always sold out and quite frankly I hate spending money. I’m fine with my completely destroyed combat boots.

A lot of other people are not like me, though. For some, a shoe collection is like buying groceries. American Psycho: The Musical (REVIVE IT) told us “you are what you wear” and I believe it because I don’t want Patrick Bateman to be mad at me. Shoes made of exquisite fabrics are a luxury and the market is filled with brands that manufacture only the classiest shoes of the highest quality. Only those with deep pockets/really high credit limits can even consider them most of the time. If we learned anything from the book/movie Holes it’s that shoes are so important to some that they’re worth stealing.

As the title suggests, we are looking for the most expensive shoes ever made. So, there’s only one possible criterion to rank each item: the price tag. The most expensive item would top our list. To come up with the most accurate list, we consulted a few sites such as ABC News Point, Listovative, My First Class Life, and Luxatic. 25. Nike Air Mag — $12,000

These Nike Inc. (NYSE:NKE)‘s first appeared in Back to the Future in 1989 (get that Taylor Swift promo) on Michael J. Fox. Only 20 were made and they all came with Fox’s signature.

24. Air Jordan 10 OVO — $20,000

When Jordan decided to pair up with Drake and his crew, October’s Very Own (OVO), these special edition sneakers, were presented as a gift. When this rare pair was given to a lucky fan at the Toronto Raptors “Drake Night” (my kind of night) extravaganza, these were put on sale.

These are made with 11 karats of brown diamonds that are carefully spruced up around the Nike logo. They were designed by Laced Up of Ernel Dawkins and C Couture’s designer Rita Patel.

17. Air Jordan 1 Silver Shoes — $60,000

Air Jordan is popular for being pricey, and not only are these expensive, they’re super heavy, weighing ten pounds. The original pair was made with silver by a jeweler and gifted to Michael Jordan by his wife on his 32nd birthday.

These special edition shoes were designed by famous jeweler Jacob Arabo. They’re made with 246 diamonds set in pure white gold. Reebok is now owned by adidas AG (ADR) (OTCMKTS:ADDYY).

This is another Drake x Jordan collaboration with “a clean white Air Jordan 12 given metallic gold accents and a luxurious stingray leather mudguard.”

These have a history attached to them, which explains the price. Michael Jordan wore them during game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz. Playing with “flu-like symptoms,” Jordan went on to score 38 points to lead his team to victory.

Stuart Weitzman are up next in our list of most expensive shoes in the world. She clearly just designs super expensive shoes. These are unique because they’re made in a chocolate brown color, which is a stark contrast to the bright colors he traditionally uses. These are encrusted with Rita Hayworth’s own diamonds, sapphires, and rubies and the heels are beautiful, with a satin flower embroidered on each shoe.

1. The Fire Monkey – Bicion & Dan Gamache — $4 million

Coming in at #1 are these shoes by Bicion, a New York-based lifestyle brand, and Dan Ganache of Mache Custom Kicks, who combined to create this luxurious pair of shoes. These sneakers, dubbed “The Fire Monkey” to celebrate the Chinese New Year, is made of hundreds of karats of tailor-made white diamond pieces of blue sapphires set in 18-karat gold. Blue, white, and gold are visible all over the shoe.
