Myanmar has been under a military dictator for quite a long time, and although the country recently turned into a democracy, the western world is still rather skeptical about the country’s standing as a democratic nation. On top of that, there is a civil unrest going on in the Rakhine State between the Rohingya and the Burmese. Naturally, quality healthcare is not really a top priority for Myanmar right now.
