However, the salaries in the industry are decent. If you are industrious, and devoted you can make a decent living with working only six months a year.

12. Oil Field Gate Guard Security
Median income per year: $24,650-$30,033
This is another position among the easiest oilfield jobs that doesn’t require any previous experience, and good news for you – you can apply if you are a student or retired. You will get on-the-job training, and although the salary is not that high, but the work isn’t difficult.
11. Floor Hand
Median income per year: $24,000-$35,000
Qualifications: High school Diploma, GED or equivalent
This job generally requires quite a lot from you, as you should be available even at weekends and on holidays. Two or more shifts are needed to operate the rig.
10. Operator assistant
Median income per year: $37,500
Qualifications: High school/secondary
This job is the doorstep of the more senior positions, in the service operator job family.
9. Slickline Assistant
Median income per year: $35,270-$39,530
Qualifications: Non Required but CDL is a plus
You will get many benefits, such as dental, health and vision care after one year employment relationship. Uniforms are generally provided, and as for working hours, shifts span 10 to 12 hours.

Previous experience is not required but if you have, you will get higher starting salary. Work schedule means 12 hour-long rotating shifts. from Monday to Friday and weekends.
6. Pipe Handler

Qualifications: High school Diploma, GED or equivalent
Working as a pipe handler, your tasks will include maintaining and securing materials, equipment and inventory. You will have to be available a 24/7 on call. It’s a typical oilfield job, so will have to do heavy physical work, such as lift up to 50lbs or more.
5. Drilling Rig Worker
Median income per year: $50,000
Qualifications: Driving License
When choosing this job, you must know that it requires shift rotation: day shift, night shift and overnight shift, in 12 hours shifts. Working in three shifts means some difficulties for many people, as you can find it hard to sleep at noon. You will work five days on, and 2.5 half days off, after getting on-the-job training. Driving license is preferred.
4. Drilling Crew Member With Class A CDL
Median income per year: $57,600
Qualifications: Class A CDL
You will learn how to with with drilling equipment, commercial trucks, trenchers and backhoes. Work schedule means 12 hours long rotating shifts, on weekdays and at weekends. If you are a team-player and don’t fear of physical work, you will fit this position.
3. Plant Operator
Median income per year: $59,500-$71,050
Qualifications: Non Required
Your job will be to assist with operating pumps, engines, motors treating systems, compressors, turbines, cooling equipment and auxiliary units. You will start, operate and stop various equipment, and control operating conditions of devices. There are two or more shifts, but actually the salary is pretty good.
2. Sand Hauler/Truck Driver
Median income per year: $50,000 – $80,000
Qualifications: CDL license
Previous experience isn’t a must, but you need to have a Commercial Driver’s License, otherwise you will get an on-the-job training.

Median income per year: $30,000 – $120,000
Qualifications: high school

Pursuing the job of a petroleum supply specialist means, you will be responsible for managing and supervising storage, reception, and shipping of packaged or bulked petroleum-based productions. According to the description of the open positions, you will have tasks, such as “perform petroleum and water accounting duties, operate equipment used with petroleum and water distribution system and multi-product pipeline system”, among others.
