The 10 Most Expensive Android Apps

Want to know which are the most expensive Android apps right now? When getting apps, most of us usually choose the cheapest option available; and that if there’s no free option. However, some prefer to go with more expensive alternatives, taking into account the price-quality ratio, an often important variable. But this is not always the case, and costlier doesn’t necessarily mean better.

Most Expensive Android Apps

In fact many of the apps on our countdown do absolutely nothing at all; nothing but show the richness of their owners, and how gullible they are to give their money away to lazy app developers preying on their ilk with artificial social-status items that are expensive simply for the sake of it.

The maximum price that can be charged for an app on the Google Play Store is $200, so although it is a lot to spend on an app (especially a useless one), it is only about a fifth of what you could spend on an app if you had an Apple device, where the maximum is $1,000. Are you curious about the most expensive Android apps and just how silly and useless some of them can be? Let’s take a look at the countdown!

10. Pocket Atlas of ER Ultrasound

For $69.99 you can get this reference guide for every body part and system that can be assessed with ultrasound. Diagrams, pictures, data and more (but less information than what you could get online for free). It is useful, but has nothing new to offer if compared to the vastness of the internet.

9. Dr. Web Antivirus Life License

If you are committed to keeping your device healthy, then this app is worth your while. $75 may seem a little excessive for an antivirus, but take into account that it is a lifetime license; pay once and feel safe forever.

8. Mobile Accessibility US

This app is probably the most useful and worthy service on our list. Mobile Accesibility US costs $99.99, but if you are blind, I assure you that its price is fair. Basically the app is a launcher designed for the blind, a talking interface that vocalizes the options as you move your finger around the device, and a great voice command technology.

7. 5-Minute Sports Medicine

For $99.99 you can access a reference guide of around 300 topics regarding medical issues that are related to sports. The idea is that you can read and learn about each of the subjects in five minutes. Although the interface is quite dated, the information is reliable, as the app was developed by the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

6. White Diamond

The first costly and useless app on this list is White Diamond, an app that only proves that you are rich and have nothing better to do with your money than show it off. It does literally nothing, a non-functional widget that just shows on your home screen for a mere $130.

5. MBE Preparation – e-BarReviewer

This app costs almost $200, but it is really helpful for those lawyers who are studying for their Bar Exam. The software is designed to aid students preparing for the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), and it features flashcards with Q&A, a test including 200 questions, and a practice exam.

4. Peek

This $200 app has a funny story: it was originally released under an account that was not the app developer’s account. So when the project was moved to the real developer’s account (where you can get it for $1.94), the original app rocketed its price so that people wouldn’t buy it.

3. Most Expensive App

The top three of this countdown is unfortunately completely useless. The Most Expensive App is simply an overpriced, good-for-nothing Android app that people get only to brag about having an extra $200 to spend on nothing.

2. Got Cash

Another worthless and pricey app. For $200, “Got Cash” only serves the purpose of showing that you’ve got cash to spare. Just a dollar sign on your home screen that does nothing.

1. The Abu Moo Collection

The Abu Moo Collection is a series of 6 apps named after gemstones. Each app costs $200, amounting to a total of $1200 if you get all six of them.  It does nothing but prove that you are rich and somewhat stupid. Who could actually spend money on virtual worthless gems?
