Billionaire Mario Gabelli’s GAMCO Investors Reports Stake In Myers Industries Inc (MYE)

In a recent 13D filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, billionaire Mario Gabelli‘s GAMCO Investors reported a position in Myers Industries, Inc. (NYSE:MYE). The filing showed that GAMCO and its affiliates own in aggregate some 6.97 million shares of Myers Industries, which represent 23.58% of the company’s outstanding common stock. Out of the aggregate amount, GAMCO holds close to 4.78 million shares, which compares with 4.75 million shares reported in its last 13F filing.

Among the funds tracked by Insider Monkey, GAMCO is the largest shareholder, followed by Jim Simons‘ Renaissance Technologies, which reported a $400,000 stake in its last 13F filing. Overall, five funds disclosed long positions in Myers Industries as of the end of 2015, down from seven funds holding shares a quarter earlier. Other investors bullish on the stock include John Overdeck and David Siegel’s Two Sigma Advisors, D. E. Shaw’s D E Shaw and Peter Muller’s PDT Partners.

On the other hand, a number of investors unloaded their entire positions in Myers Industries, Inc. (NYSE:MYE) heading into 2016. Among the, Israel Englander’s Millennium Management dumped the biggest stake of all the hedgies monitored by Insider Monkey, comprising close to $900,000 in stock. Ken Griffin’s fund, Citadel Investment Groupire, also said goodbye to its stock, about $800,000 worth.
