Apple was hit with controversy when they launched this product with no-wire earphones or AirPods. People might think “why fix what isn’t broken?” It might not be broken, but the deduction of the wires, which is an analog input to the phone, removes the extra step to convert the digital signal to analog. The DAC and amp are now embedded in the AirPods. Calls and music are crystal clear, though not the loudest when it comes to loudspeakers.
