4. Dance History
The purpose of this particularly easy subject is to help students learn about various dance forms over the centuries, including social dance, ballet, modern, jazz, or tap.
Students will have to read a series of books on dance through the ages, and all assignments will weight equally for the final grade. Exams will be given based on lecture note readings, on topics such as world dance styles, early history of dance, ballet in France, Italy, Russia, Denmark, the UK or the USA, early history of jazz, jazz master teachers, social dance styles
This is not only class that you can easily ace, but it’s something that many with the smallest interest in dance might feel attracted to. In the long run, you’ll be able to learn about nuances in dance, different styles, as well as why dance has changed so much through the course of history. This is one of the easiest Gordon Rule classes to take at FSU, UF, UCF and USF and as long as you make sure to do your reading, write your assignments and learn for your exams, you’ll be good to go.
3. Enjoyment of Music
We’ve definitely gone a bit artsier at the University of Central Florida this time around. The class is designed to expose students to musical styles that are historically important in forming today’s classical music. Students learn the basic descriptions of musical terms, going over various genres, including Medieval music, Renaissance music, Baroque, classical, romantic and even more modern music of the 20th century.
You don’t need to have any previous musical training in order to get a good grade in this class, that is one of the easiest Gordon Rule classes to take at FSU, UF, UCF and USF, and the successful completion of the workload can be accomplished by simply reading the required chapters when assigned, and listening to the online musical examples for each of the sections covered in class.
If you’re at all passionate about music, then this class will not only be something you take for an easy mark at the end of it all but also for pleasure. After all, learning more about a topic that you’re passionate about can only be a joy.
