As a starting point in our research, we took credible sources like Telegraph, Forbes, and Business Insider that were discussing either the cheapest or the safest places to live in. From these sources we got our first choices. However, in order to get the latest and most-trusted numbers, we used one of the largest databases in the world, Numbeo. The parameters we used for comparison are the crime rate index and cost of living index.  First, we made two lists, one for the cheapest and one for the safest places to live. In order to create our final list, we took the average score based on crime rate for the safest and cost of living index for the cheapest places to live. The list is sorted by the score in a descending order but, because some of the places got the same score, we ranked them in alphabetical order.
