The age-standardized rate per 100,000 in Germany is 91.6, making it one of the leading countries in Europe when it comes to breast cancer. However, it is good to know that the number is decreasing, since in 2008 in Germany almost 72,000 women suffered from breast cancer, making it around 171.1 per 100,000, while the age-standardized rate was 123.8 per 100,000.
