There are currently well over 3.6 million teachers in the United States. In some cities in the United States, teachers barely make over $30,000 annually such as in Beaumont in the state of Texas. On the other hand, some cities can even pay nearly $100,000 to the teachers in the city such as Norwich-New London, in the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
