Top 5 Most Influential Teens in 2013

No. 5: Malala Yousafzai, 16

Last year, Malala Yousafzai, fifth on our list of the most influential teens in 2013, was the victim of an assassination attempt, which occurred on the bus she took from home to school, in Pakistan. Talibanis targeted the young girl, then 15, for her activism to improve the education of girls in the region.

Although shot in the head and neck, she survived the attack. But what is even more impressive about this teenager is that she has not ceased to support children’s education. Malala was also nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
