Is TD Synnex Corp (SNX) the Next AI Infrastructure Stock to Watch on Price Target Hike?

TD SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE:SNX) is positioned to benefit from the rapid expansion of enterprise artificial intelligence as companies move from AI experimentation to production deployments. The shift is driving demand for computing and storage, creating significant growth opportunities for the company’s data center business. While investors focus on AI chipmakers, TD SYNNEX’s 50%-plus rally points to another way of profiting from the AI infrastructure boom.

On September 25, Morgan Stanley raised its price target to $359 from $334 and reiterated an Overweight rating, citing the company’s stronger-than-expected third-quarter fiscal 2026 performance and improving growth outlook. It generated $21.6 billion in revenue during the quarter, exceeding consensus estimates by 13% as diluted earnings per share came in at $5.68, topping estimates by 21%.

The company’s data center business is emerging as an increasingly important growth driver. Gross billings at Hyve Solutions surged 117%, highlighting strong demand from hyperscale customers. Hyve’s growth looks impressive, but a less obvious trend beneath those record numbers could complicate the bullish case for SNX.

Enterprise AI is also supporting TD Synnex’s traditional Distribution business. The investment bank expects AI-related demand to broaden beyond traditional IT spending, benefiting the company as enterprises invest in infrastructure needed to deploy AI applications. Gross billings in the Distribution segment increased 27% during the quarter, indicating stronger demand across the company’s customer base. Beyond AI demand, HPE’s decision to select TD SYNNEX as one of its primary global distributors could open another growth opportunity.

Reflecting the stronger operating outlook, Morgan Stanley raised its fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 earnings estimates by 12% and 15%, respectively. The revisions reflect expectations for stronger growth and improved operating leverage. The investment bank also expects free cash flow to turn positive in the fourth quarter as investments in Hyve Solutions begin to ease.

TD Synnex Fairly Valued

Priced at $271, with a market cap of about $21.5 billion and an enterprise value of about $26.8 billion, TD SYNNEX Corporation is reasonably valued relative to the IT Distribution industry. It is valued as a high-growth stock, with a forward price-to-earnings multiple of 12, slightly higher than Ingram Micro’s forward P/E of 7X.

The higher valuation reflects unusually strong fiscal third quarter 2026 growth, with revenue up 37.7%, gross billings up 40%, and earnings up 40%. It is strong growth for a company trading around 11-12X forward earnings.

Risks to the Growth Story

Despite the favorable outlook, TD SYNNEX Corporation remains exposed to several risks. For starters, weaker-than-expected hyperscale orders or slower data center deployments could weigh on growth. The company’s shares have previously underperformed the broader market when sentiment around Hyve Solutions weakened, highlighting the stock’s sensitivity to data center expectations.

The company is also highly dependent on corporate technology spending. A recession or weaker business conditions could lead customers and resellers to postpone purchases of hardware, software, and infrastructure, pressuring the business.

In addition, the Distribution business requires significant working capital because inventory and accounts receivable can be substantial relative to profits.

Hedge Fund Positioning

Institutional interest in TD SYNNEX Corporation improved in the first half of the year, as the number of hedge funds holding positions rose to 60 in the second quarter from 50 in the first quarter.

According to Insider Monkey’s database, Abrams Bison Investments reduced its TD Synnex position by 19% to $540.49 million, while Brave Warrior Capital cut its stake by 53% to $385.41 million.

Short interest has also increased, with shares sold short rising to 2.83 million as of September 15 from 1.78 million as of August 14. Nevertheless, short interest remains relatively low at 1.99% of the company’s shares.

The Bottom Line

TD SYNNEX Corporation is benefiting from several overlapping technology trends, including enterprise AI adoption, hyperscale data center expansion, and infrastructure modernization. The strong third-quarter results suggest that AI-related spending is beginning to translate into broader demand across the company’s operations. TD SYNNEX is an AI infrastructure stock worth watching, but its ability to convert that demand into sustained revenue growth, stronger margins, and free cash flow will determine its upside potential.
