According to Annual Disaster Statistical Review 2015, in the last decade India, together with the United States, China, Indonesia, and the Philippines, is among top 5 countries with most natural disasters. Between 2000 and 2016 India lost $6.3 billion in 293 natural disasters and more than billion people were affected. Some of the worst natural disasters in India include 2012 Uttarakhand flash floods, 2005 Mumbai catastrophes and Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. These are only of a couple of disastrous catastrophes which show that India really belongs to the list of countries with worst natural disasters in the world.
