The ongoing earnings season has been a boon to listed companies’ share prices in the second quarter of the year, helping offset macroeconomic uncertainties such as the US-Iran war, global trade, and questions over how quickly technology companies can recoup and generate returns from their heavy investments in artificial intelligence.

Since the start of the Q2 earnings season, more than 88 percent S&P 500 companies have already reported their results, with 86 percent beating earnings expectations.

On Thursday alone, over 650 companies released their financial and operating highlights, yet only 37 of them delivered notable earnings surprises. Below, we highlight the companies that stood out with notable earnings surprises.
