Paul Singer Reveals a Massive Activist Stake in Riverbed Technology

Paul Singer, the manager of Elliott Associates, has just disclosed a 5.8% equity stake in Riverbed Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:RVBD). In a new 13D filing with the SEC, Singer’s stake in the communications and networking small-cap has been reported as activist in nature, and when we include option contracts (exercisable within 60 days), this position is worth a total of 9% of Riverbed’s outstanding shares.
