Channel NewsAsia Singapore has reported that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is beginning to consider other options, with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) getting first crack at the new business.

Here is a brief excerpt of the article, explaining the new arrangement between Apple and TSMC:

The Taiwanese company has been contracted to manufacture the A6X chip, which drives Apple’s iPad4 tablet, with trial production set for the first quarter of this year, Taiwan’s Commercial Times reported.

As you can see, Apple is wasting no time moving away from its relationship with Samsung in 2013.

What is the deal with Samsung? Why has Apple decided to move away from this working arrangement after so many years?
