The biggest market for Volkswagen is China, which accounts for 40% of the company’s sales or close to $120 million.

Some of the biggest and most prestigious brands owned by Volkswagen include Bentley, Lamborghini, Audi, Skoda and Porsche, and of course, the Volkswagen brand. The company was also responsible for one of the biggest scandals in automotive industry history where it admitted to fixing the software of more than 11 million cars to deceive emissions testing. The resulting fines, penalties, and lawsuit settlements saw the company paying more than $30 billion in total.
