1. Finland
EPI score: 90.68
We’ve finally come to the cleanest country in the world and it is Finland with a very high EPI score of 90.68. Finland is also greenest country in the world because 70% of its area is covered with forest which makes it one of the most forested countries in the world. More than 80% of Finland’s lakes are either good or excellent in quality, and most of its electricity is produced in an environmental-friendly way. However, Finland’s efforts to be utterly environment-friendly country don’t stop here because this country is committed to carbon-neutral society by 2045. This seems like a good plan to stay on top of the list of 16 cleanest countries in the world as well.
