Portugal also has some of the cleanest cities in the world with its second biggest city being the cleanest one. Tap water in Portugal is safe to drink, but according to some experiences, it tastes terrible. Of course, you always have a choice of buying bottled water if you don’t like the taste, but in any case, it is entirely safe for drinking.
