Osteoporosis has become a widespread problem for these 11 countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis in the world. For many countries and for a lot of people, they have been convinced that osteoporosis is a common disease to encounter people when they get older. Osteoporosis often comes about through a deficiency of calcium which causes bones to lose their health and become brittle. Interestingly some studies have shown that osteoporosis is not as common as we think it is. There are some countries in the world that suffer significantly less cases compared to others.

A study even showed that countries with the higher amount of dairy in their diet often encounter much more osteoporosis cases than other countries with significantly less intake. Another factor that attributes to a great loss of calcium is a higher amount of protein. Generally, imbalanced diets often lead to sickness as too much of a good thing can be bad.
