10. Walmart

Definitely one of the heavy hitters of the retail industry in the United States, Walmart breaches the top 10. It is the only retailing company to have broken through this list signifying how much they are willing to invest to keep themselves at the top against many competitive retail stores.

9. American Express

Another American brand to make it into this list, American Express is the biggest credit card company that spends a lot on Facebook. They’ve recently put large investments on social media marketing. They even have an app for Facebook that displays how long you’ve had an American Express card.

8. Unilever

Given the many products and brands under Unilever, it’s no surprise that they spend a lot to maintain each of them. Unilever has spent lots for advertising not only on Facebook, but on other social media websites as well. One of the recent marketing strategies they’ve been employing is through viral videos.

7. Nestle

Another company that has a lot of products and brands under its name, Nestle has been investing heavily in online advertising these last few years. They even sponsored the famous grumpy cat in a string of ads a few years ago. Nestle isn’t looking to cut costs on advertising any time soon.

Mobile companies have been on a rampage when it comes to online advertising especially with the recent mobile integration of Facebook. Even statistics show that mobile companies, products and services have had more success on social media. Verizon itself reports large rates of mobile carrier switching after they advertised through Facebook.

You may notice how Amazon has integrated well into the Facebook ad space. Microsoft has been on good terms with Facebook since its launch. Facebook has integrated a lot of Microsoft tools like the Bing search engine. The company has been one of its biggest advertisers and the relations between the two are very strong.
