11 Most Sexually Active States in America

Brown chicken, brown cow– it’s time to get down and take a tantalizing peek at the list of most sexually active states in America. As the great (gross) R. Kelly once said: “I don’t see nothing wrong with a little bump n’ grind.” And I don’t. Do you?

You would think that America is number one on the list of the most sexually active countries in the world. You really would think–considering HBO’s Game of Thrones scenes alone.  Add to that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition that was just released and you have quite the sexed up population. Or so you would imagine, but you’d be incorrect. Our previous list of the 10 Most Sexually Active Countries in the World shows something completely different. Among all 10 countries included, none of them are the good old U.S. of A.

This list uses a scientific survey funded by the Durex corporation on sexual behavior and well being, as an informative source. The survey discussed the finding that sex worldwide could be better–according to respondents. They described lower libidos, overall interest in sex and propensity for adventurous romantic encounters. Still, 60% of those surveyed say that sex is a good time and important to their life. Unfortunately, 44% of those surveyed feel completely satisfied with their sex lives–this opinion was stronger or more popular among men than women in the survey.

In addition to the survey, we used statistics on the percentage of sold prophylactics, the percentage of citizens who have sexual intercourse, and the list of the most sexually active colleges from few sources listed below. For the ranking, we used several studies–including 10 Most Sexually Active Cities in America, CBS’s survey about most promiscuous U.S. states and research on the most sexually active colleges in the U.S. as listed by Maxim whose findings are based on information from GoPuff, a condom delivery service among other things. We compiled the data and ranked according to how often a state appeared and how highly it was ranked on each or the specific survey. Now jump into bed with the most sexually active states in America–just make sure to use protection.

11. Utah

The annual percentage of sold condoms in Utah is 24% above the average. But the interesting thing is that over the half of the examinees told that they never in their life had a one night stand–good to know. Based on the answers, turns out that the average runtime of sexy fun in Utah is 3:55. Long enough to run a half mile, but not exactly… lengthy.

10. Missouri

23% of the citizens confirmed that they experienced a one night stand at least once in their life, like any good person living out the plot of a romantic comedy. 32% said that they have sexual intercourse at least once a day. Average intercourse lasts 4:22. I’m assuming the straight couples are bringing down the average… considerably.

9. Connecticut

32% have sexual intercourse a few times a day (and they are college students? Unemployed? Extremely motivated?), 51% confirmed that they have sex at least once a week. It’s probably not the same night they organize the recycling but who knows? Maybe aluminum really does something for them.

8. Massachusetts

Citizens of Massachusetts, next in line on our list of most sexually active states in America aren’t too randy, still they made it onto the list of the 11 most sexually active states. It likely has something to do with Marky Mark for sure, it’s in the air up there, the heavy depressed Catholic air, as well as all those Bostonian college students at Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern University, Tufts, Brandeis…etc. How do you like them apples?

7. Washington

Two of the cities of Washington had condom sales which are 89% and 27% higher than the rest of the country and also both are among the 10 cities of biggest buyers on Babeland, a sex toy and sex supply store. Seattle loves to make love and drink coffee–not necessarily in that order.

6. Arizona

We are coinuing our list of most sexually active states in America with Arizona State that is a heaven for new students and it’s no wonder why there are so many applications every year–it’s known for its communications department… just kidding, it probably has a great one, but it’s known for being a party school. Colleges like these among the other states got this state to number 6.

5. Colorado

Denver, the capital city of Colorado made on top of the list of most sexually active cities of U.S. because of the highest percentage of contraceptives, precisely 189% and the female contraceptives jumped up to 278% higher than the national average sales.  Well, Rocky Mountain hi, how YOU doin’?

4. Oregon

The state of Oregon that is number 4 on our list of most sexually active states in America is well known for the morning walk of shame as it turns out to be on every list of most promiscuous states in U.S. Portland, is first place in the number of walks of shame according to dating app, OkCupid. Portland also made to the top 10 of contraceptive and sex toys sales in the U.S. Portland sounds smart.

3. New York

43% of New Yorkers claimed that they have sex every single day and the number goes even higher when counting up respondents with more than one intercourse session per week. The only reason New York didn’t make first on our list is because, believe it or not, despite all the myths about New York–the city that NEVER SLEEPS, wink wink–it got beat out by two other horny bastards.

2. Texas

With having UT – Austin placed 8th on the list of most sexually active states in America, and the lovely city of San Antonio on the list of most sexually active cities in U.S., there are few more factors that placed Texas at second place. Texas is second by the condom sales in the whole country and second in birthrate, so people are definitely getting action here.

1. California

California definitely deserves the first place on our list of  11 most sexually active states in America at it appears throughout our research into state sexual activity. Besides being high on the list of contraceptives sales, it took three places on both lists of the most sexually active colleges and most promiscuous cities in U.S.

First of all, the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), also known as University of Casual Sex and Beer was found 6 on the list of most sexually active colleges with the high rate of one night stands. Here we also have the University of California and the University of California, Los Angeles which took fourth and third place.

Second, San Diego was 9th on the most promiscuous cities, San Bernadino was 7th and San Francisco was 5th. So come to California to have your flings!
