While this phone, released during 2012, isn’t necessarily a contender for the current phone race, it does feature a lot of things you might find in some phones from that year. It has a dual-sim capability, a flashlight, and an SD card that can hold up to 2 GB storage. If you feel that it doesn’t sound too good, by today’s standards, you’re probably right.

9. Plum One

Weight: 50.5 grams

Just going a little ahead of the Rock Lite is the Plum One with a .5-gram advantage. The phone was released during 2011 and had a joystick and numeric keypad to match. This is one of Plum’s earliest phones and with recent releases they’ve actually made quite a few good looking smartphones.

8. BLU Lindy Q60

Weight: 50 grams

Also released during 2011, the BLU Lindy also competed with a lot of the phones of the year. It featured the popular QWERTY keyboard, which was a feature that defined mobile phone evolution. It also had a mini sim, an SD capability of 4GB and, of course, the very popular flashlight. This lightweight phone also has a radio capability.

7. BLU Bar Q T400

Weight: 48 grams

BLU continues its trend of lightweight phones with the Bar Q T400. This phone was also released during 2011 and followed the candy bar structure of popular phones of the time. It’s quite small in size and only has mono speakers and Polyphonic ringtones. This was not unusual for phones of that year.

As you might’ve guessed this phone was also released during 2011 but it had quite a few features that have given it the advantage over other phones in this list. It was a slide-phone with a popular design during this year, and it also had 128MB processing power and an 8GB SD card capacity that was twice that of most phones.

This phone from NIU was also released during 2012 and had features similar to that of Icemobile phones. This phone, however, had the capability to connect with a Micro USB output. With these few different features, it had lost the popular flashlight capability.
