Getting into any of the least competitive medical schools in the US is still an admirable feat and doesn’t make you any important than the medical students at the other more competitive schools. At the end you and the graduates from those school still get the Doctor salutation awarded for the degree. Just like the most affordable medical schools, graduating from any of these is not any easier than with any other school and makes you as much of a confident professional in your field as any other educational establishment. Of course, we must accept that there is a very important individual attitude towards the daunting task of getting through a medical education alive. Some people start off humbly from a school like these and go on to become some of the more renowned people in their field, while some attend the highest-rated med schools and still can’t reach their goal.

Called “second chance” schools, these establishments accept people with comparatively lower GPA than some of their counterparts for different reasons. While college education emphasizes on one’s willingness to get down to work on whatever task they’re given, no matter whether they like it or not, some of the criteria for having a higher GPA does not necessarily reflect qualities that are needed to become a good medical professional. These medical schools give the unfortunate bunch of people who are sure they have what it takes to become a practicing doctor (except the GPA) a chance which many of them take and turn into a successful career. Don’t be fooled, though – these schools still retain a very low ratio of acceptance versus number of application. Some might even go as far as accept less than 20% of the people who apply. There is no “failsafe” school where you can magically hop on the diploma train and ride it into a pile of cash and satisfied patients. As a matter of fact, sometimes these schools accept less people than the ones looking for people with very high GPAs. Even so, the opportunity is there and people are willing to take it on.

Now, let’s take a look at these 10 least competitive medical schools in the US:
