Reuters reported that US stocks moved higher on Friday, October 2, closing higher on Friday after weaker-than-expected jobs data reduced expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike later this month.
The Labor Department reported that nonfarm payrolls increased by 29,000 jobs last month, well below the 90,000 jobs economists polled by Reuters had expected.
