India is one of the most porn watching countries in the world in 2023. Pornography in India is shown to be harmful, as it often features sexual assault. Studies have linked pornography addiction to higher sexual offenses against women in India. Pornography is easy to find in India. As a consequence, many under 18 get exposed to it. Pornography’s portrayal in India often perpetuates sexual violence and power imbalances. The Indian government has taken steps to remedy the problem by teaching people about sex, checking for online addiction, making IT laws official, and raising awareness.
